25 weeks!

Hello and welcome back. First, I will apologize for my slackness last week. As most of you know, we had a lot of house guest. Some guest showed up early (Monday) and some unexpected stragglers. So overall, I had my hands full.  And Second, Congrats to two of our closet friends on their marriage.  It was a crazy, fun weekend and a memorable wedding that even mother nature couldn't ruin....even though she desperately tried!

We hope you all had a nice Mother's Day and are sorry that we didn't get to see any of you. I thought I'd show you some of the projects we've been working on around here, so for those of you who heard me talk about the shutters, they were done and here is a pic! I think they look great along with our newly painted black doors. Joey didn't see the point or enjoy it, but the end result looks fantastic in my opinion. I also finally got all of my flowers planted at my own detriment. Note to self that planting 5 pallets of flowers is not smart when you are pregnant...and you can barely see them in the pictures.  :-(

And an update on our Veggie garden. The zucchini are winning the race!  Overall, everything is up and doing pretty well except the lettuce....and I wish the tomato plants were growing faster. I should have started them inside earlier I think.

Back to baby....I am just a few days away from the end of my 2nd trimester!! So hard to believe until I see myself in the mirror. haha. Baby M still doesn't have a name, but he is fully developed and now just gaining weight and growing hair. Based on my weight gain, I want to believe he is on the upper end of that range shown above and is close to 2.5 lbs. :-) Next week I go to Vegas for work and then on Friday, I go in for my glucose test which I've heard is no fun.  I have also set up a meet and greet info session with a potential pediatrician. I've heard great things about him from friends and am hoping I like him so I can check that one off my list! And now that the wedding guest have left, we can start the nursery!  I am really excited to see some stuff get done in there!! Hopefully I can give you some picture updates in the coming weeks.

For those of you who have asked, I am planning on taking care of the little guy in between working from home for the first few months at least. So anyone that wants to come and help after the first month, feel free! We love free child care and I am starting a calendar. haha  But seriously, I think I can manage emails and calls in between naps at least for a while. We will see!! Luckily Joey has a lot of flexibility also with his job, so I think he can be home quite a bit to help out.

I didn't do my usual bump picture this week since I have some where we both look nice. Here are a few pics from the wedding when we were all dressed up (and soaking wet). I got lucky and somehow managed to keep most of my head dry, but Joey's suit is still wet 2 days later.

Hope you have a great week!
Love Erin & Joey
