16 weeks! (actually 16 1/2)

So being out of town this weekend has made me completely miss my update and just to say it now, I am traveling again this weekend until Monday, so I will most likely be late again.  :-)  We spent a wonderful weekend in NC with my family.  The trips are always way too short and busy, but we had our first lesson is parenting thanks to that "sweet angel" Mac that you all know and love. 

What we learned:

1- You cannot reason with a toddler.
2- No amount of volume on a radio can drown out something that loud. :-/
3- Always stock extra character bandaids as the normal brown ones just won't work.
4- I am hormonal and easily cry when my "sweet angel" cries.  (...now imagine my own child.)
5- Joey is meaner than we thought. So maybe I won't be the "mean" one and him the "fun" one after all!! :-)

So, here are some basic facts about the 16 week mark with Baby M!

• She/he is listening to your voice, thanks to tiny bones forming in her ears.
• She/he is growing hair, lashes and eyebrows.
• She/he is forming taste buds so it knows when I'm being bad now.

Other interesting facts this week:

• Only 2 more weeks until the Baby M gender is confirmed!!  (March 25th for those of you who keep asking)
• My wonderful friend Vanessa told me to try a specific nasal gel for moisture and it has worked better than anything else!  I am much less stuffy since I used it yesterday. 
• I swear my feet have grown.  All of my shoes are too short all of a sudden.
• Up 5.5 lbs total.

So, Joey and I are off to Las Vegas on Thursday with some of his colleagues.  I wasn't too excited about it, but now that I see the forecast for mid/upper 80's and sunshine, I am super excited!!  I can't complain about a few days sitting by the pool and nice dinners.  :-)
